W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow - Dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow!

Finding affordable dupes for high end products is always great as we all love to save some money! Today I will be talking about the W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow, which is a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow. W7 is known for "duping" all sorts of high end products, e. g. the Urban Decay Naked Palettes.

The actual product inside looks very much like the Charlotte Tilbury one (same pattern, same colors), but the outside packaging is not like the high end one at all:

I am not a huge fan of this packaging as it seems pretty cheap to me and does not look cute, but at the same time I don't really care about the packaging if the product itself is good which is the definitely the case with this one. Let's take a closer look!

You have the bronzer on the left and the highlighter on the right.
This is the only color this duo comes in (unlike the Charlotte Tilbury duo which comes in a few different colors).

It has a small mirror inside (which I think is pretty useless for bronzer or highlighter application since it's so narrow).

Here's what the bronzer and the highlighter look like swatches on the back of my hand:

Sooo...first of all, you should be aware of the fact that both of these colors contain shimmer. However, that shimmer is very fine and not chunky or glittery at all, which is a huge plus for me because I don't like glitter on my face at all.

The bronzer is great for bronzing/warming up the skin as well as for contouring as the shimmer in it is very subtle and not really detectable on the skin. In the above swatch you can see that the bronzer does have a sheen to it but is not glittery whatsoever. As for the color, I think it's perfect since it's not orange, but not too cool-toned as well. It's a very natural looking bronzer. You can definitely build this up to the intensity that you want which I like because I am on the fair side and products that go on super opaque with the first application sometimes can be hard to blend.

For the highlighter, it's a beigy champagne color that is neither too yellow nor too pink. This also has a sheen, but a much more intense one than the bronzer (which makes sense since this is an illuminator!). I really love this highlighter! For some reason when I saw it in the pan I was not too thrilled about it, but when I put it on my face, especially in conjunction with the bronzer, I LOVE it!

Here's what both products look like on my face!

Please excuse this no makeup situation (apart from this side of my cheeks) :) I was going to do a "no makeup Sunday"
but ended up swatching these on my face because I think it helps a lot more than seeing products on the hand only.

I applied both products pretty heavily just so you can see them better in the picture. As I said, you can build these up very nicely. See how amazing the color of this bronzer is? I love how these two colors work together. They compliment each other so well I find.

So bottom line, this is a perfect neutral toned bronzing & highlighting duo which I'm sure will look good on so many skintones. As for the dupe aspect, I don't own the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow because it is ridiculously expensive and I am not going to purchase it. I mean, if I got it as a gift I wouldn't mind :) but I won't go out and buy it for myself. And honestly, this W7 duo does the trick! So I highly recommend this affordable little duo.

P.S.: I have a makeup look coming up that features this duo being used on the face AND on the eyes (because these colors work great on the eyes too). Stay tuned for that!
