Easy & wearable smokey eye for blondes - great for clubbing or any special occasion! + tips on how to create a smokey eye!

This look is glam but yet very wearable. Being a (light) blonde, smokey eyes can be difficult sometimes as the lighter the hair, the more the makeup is going to "show". With the right technique and the right colors, anyone can rock a smokey eye.

Here are some tips on how to master the smokey eye:

• If you want to play it safe, stick to earthy tones like browns, greys, taupes, blacks, beiges, creams...
• Don't go too dark! All black is very hard to pull of. Use different colors because that will help with the blending and give more dimension to your look.
• You also want to make sure you're not going too top or bottom heavy but balance both out.
• Another tip is not to bring the eyeshadow on your top lid up too high because that's what will give you that panda look. If you have hooded eyes, you want to bring the eyeshadow slightly higher up, but just high enough so you can see it with your eyes open. You never want to bring a dark color all the way up to your eyebrow!
• Blend! And then blend some more. If you're having trouble, use a skintoned eyeshadow to blend out the edges.

Here's what I used to create this smokey eye:

I used a light shimmery eyeshadow from my Morphe 35O Palette on the lid. For the crease, I mixed some browns and greys and finally added a little bit of Makeup Geek's Corrupt which is an intense black, and then blended everything together. I put the same browns and greys on the lower lashline as well but kept it a bit warmer than the top lid. Finally, I added some black winged liner and some falsies. For special occasions, I highly recommend wearing falsies as they really make such a big difference!

I love neutral looks like this one (neutral, not natural :)) because they look amazing but not too over the top.
